Aishwarya Rai first Red Carpet Appearance at Cannes.

The wait is over! Aishwarya Rai Bachchan walked the Red Carpet for the Film Deux Jours, Une Nuit (Two Days, One Night) premiere during the 67th Annual Cannes Film Festival this evening May 20th in Cannes, France.

I can’t begin to express how pleased I am to see her walk the red carpet. She looks drop-dead gorgeous in this stunning Roberto Cavalli gold embellished gown. I also love her hair and makeup. This definitely her best Cannes look. It was worth the wait!

Interestingly this same dress was worn by Kristin Chenoweth to the Oscars, but I didn’t capture me this way on Oscar night. You really can’t compare though, this dress looks like it was made for Aishwarya’s figure.

This post is dedicated to her because she is worth it. *wink*

Recommended Books to read

The first book is titled A Long Way Gone.

Written by Ishmael Beah, A Long Way Gone is the true story of Ishmael Beah, who becomes an unwilling boy soldier during a civil war in Sierra Leone.

Its a well written gripping story of a child’s journey through life and a story of redemption and hope.

My next book is really old but is a classic. Not matter how old a book is,if its well written it transcends time.

To Kill A Mockingbird written by Harper Lee,is a story of childhood, innocence, human behavior, kindness and cruelty, love and hatred, with a bit of humor.

Its a bestseller. It won the Pulitzer Prize in 1961, and was later made into a movie that won an Oscar.

Blake Lively is Queen at Cannes this Year.

Face of Gucci Blake Lively has wowed me since she arrived at Cannes.

So far so good, everything gown Blake Lively has worn on the Red Carpet at Cannes has been truly glamorous and just what i had like and hoped to see .

Take a look at all her gowns so far:

At the opening ceremony on wednesday afternoon she wore this beautiful Burgundy Gucci Gown,Casadei shoes, Lorraine Schwartz jewellery.

She didn’t stop there,Blake wore this incredible Channel Couture gown and Sophia Webster shoes at the Mr. Turner premiere on Thursday, that took my breath away.

Did you notice that the dress also has pockets on the sides.

Later ,for an appearance on the Le Grand Journal TV show she showed up in a short floral Giambattista Valli Haute Couture mini dress and Stuart Weitzman sandals.

How does she always manage to look so good?

My favourite gown from her just has to be the strapless, black and white Gucci gown. It was like she was channelling Grace Kelly.

Bastet’s Shadorma Photo Prompt #8: Jacob’s Ladder

Reading Pleasure

Done for Mindmiserymenagerie, BastetsShardorma photo prompt. We are to look at these stairs and try to imagine where they’d take us. Or we could choose our own photos or art work and write about it!
