Nollywood Movies Awards

The Nollywood Movies Awards, aims to honor and recognize talent in the Nigerian movie industry will celebrate both English speaking and Indigenous talents. It will kick off with a Nominees’ Party on Saturday 5th May 2012 at the Oriental hotel in Lagos, Nigeria and the Main Awards Ceremony on Saturday 2nd June 2012 at the Civic Centre also in Lagos, Nigeria.

The Awards will also focus on the highest achievements of films produced for the industry each year in order to motivate and encourage those who make them and inspire new entrants into the industry.
It was also recently revealed that the Main Awards Ceremony will be hosted by: Julius D Genius Agwu and Kate Henshaw

Google+Experience Nigeria

On April 12, a select group of Nigerian celebrities, social influencers and content creators were hosted by global search engine giants, Google, the event also unveiled the Google+ Hangout, an electrifying new experience of connecting with select fans online.Google+ is a social content platform launched in 2011 with currently over 90 million active users and it is enabling people all over the world to connect around content of mutual interest. Google+ enables users to share photos, videos, links, or anything else by using the share box on any Google site or +1 buttons across the web. Users must however have a Gmail account, set up their profile and created circles of their friends, family, colleagues, etc. on Google+ prior to sharing anything.

Affiong Osuchukwu, Country Marketing Manager Google, said “This has been an amazing experience for us at Google Nigeria,”. “We are pleased at the level of engagement and intimacy the Google + experience has brought to the participants even as we are expectant of bigger things in Nigeria like it is happening across the world with Google +.” She added.
